RE: Examinations and Parent Teacher Consultations

Welcome back to term 3 and to what is traditionally a term focused on examinations for our secondary students.  Our Year 13 students start their IB examinations very soon and these will be followed by Year 11 sitting their IGCSE exams.  We wish them all the best of luck.

For our younger students, we would like to inform you about their internal school examinations. This year, the exams will be staggered with our older students writing first. We have also placed their study days at home, between their exams, maximizing their revision time at home. Please see the schedule below:

Detailed timetables of which subjects will be examined when will be released nearer the date.

In order to prepare students for their examinations, we are working with them in Home Room time this term.  They shall be receiving help and information on how to study. We also realise that a major role is played at home and we thank you in advance for supporting the students in the lead up to their examinations.

After examinations, students are required to attend school.   In the last week of school, 9^th – 13^th June, we are planning feedback lessons, where students will go through their examination papers with their teachers. In addition there will be some fun activities.

We would like to provide you with feedback on your son/ daughter’s progress during this term in the form of Parent Teacher Conferences.  These are an opportunity for you to meet with the teachers and gain information on how they are doing in class and how they could prepare more effectively for their exams.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be on the following nights this term and you are all warmly invited.  We shall send an SMS and appointment sheet through your son/daughter nearer the dates.

Year 7 and 8   – Sunday 22^nd April

Year 9             – Monday 30^th April
