On December the 23rd 2005, The Sultan’s School joined in a glittering night of celebrations at The Al Bustan Palace Hotel. The Oman Web Awards were presented at a ceremony presided over by Mohammed bin Nasser al Khusaibi, Secretary-General at the Ministry of National Economy.

The significant award event was the first of its kind to be held in the Sultanate, aimed at bringing national and international recognition for talents and achievements of the Omani web community. It provided a platform to award creativity and encourage innovation and outstanding web designs.

The overall winners were Bahwan Travel Agencies in the lead position with the gold award. Mr. Clive Pierrepont was presented with a Bronze Award for The Sultan’s School website.

He stated “I was delighted to accept this award on behalf of the school. Our new web site, which was built in house, is a real window on our world and a door to our community.”

At a later ceremony at the school Mr. John Birchall warmly congratulated “The Development Department” and Mr. Vinod Kumar in particular, the school’s website builder, on their outstanding achievement.
