Oman Cricket Board Grade 3/4 Cricket Initiative ‘Kwik Cricket’

We all know about our victorious National Soccer Team and their great achievements but did you know that Oman is ranked 19th in the world of cricket?
In order to maintain the climb up the cricketing world’s ladder the Oman Cricket Board has a long term vision to develop cricket within Oman by getting young children involved. The Oman Cricket Board will be introducing Grade 3 and Grade 4 students to the game of cricket. The aims of the sessions will be:

• To raise the awareness of the children

• Provide a fun opportunity for children of all abilities with simple small team games where all the children are involved

• Develop the skill level of the children

These cricket sessions form part of a programme that will be offered for an 8 week period as an activity on Wednesday's beginning on Wednesday 1st November, 3pm – 4pm. Outstanding talent will be offered the opportunity to further improve their skills at The Oman Cricket Board’s “Centre of Excellence” run by Head Coach Rajinder Singh an ex Hyderabad and State Team player. Singh commented on the outstanding facilities that the school had to offer and looked forward to a long and productive relationship, hopefully producing some National Team players
