Hello. My name is Paul Cooper and I am the new Head of Grade 11 & 12. This is my nineteenth year of teaching and my eighth in the Middle East. Initially I taught in Bradford in the UK. I have held the roles of the Head of Economics and Deputy Head of the Sixth Form at Dixons City Technology College while teaching in the UK.

In 1999 my wife and I decided to go teaching abroad. We worked at the British International School of Jeddah from 1999 to 2006. I taught Business Studies and Economics at the school and in 2001 I became the Head of IB 1. In 2004 I was appointed to the role of IB Coordinator and Head of IB 2 for a cohort of 140 IB students. I continued to teach IB Economics and IGCSE Business Studies and was the Director of the school delegation that attended the prestigious Model United Nations Conference in The Hague.

My family and I visited Oman in 2003 and we are very happy to continue our careers in "The Jewel of the Middle East."
