| From the Head of Lower Primary |
Wow…..what happened to this school year? Already we are over half way through and well into the second Semester.
As usual, the teachers are happy to see the tremendous progress that the children are making. This is always so much more apparent in the second semester and each student should be congratulated for trying his or her very best. I hope that we can all strive to make this school year the best one ever!

The Hajj – December 2007 |
In December 2007, the children were treated to some wonderful displays, stories and re-enactments of the wonderful pilgrimage of the Hajj. This work was all done and co-ordinated by Ms. Nariman (Grade 5) and we would like to thank her for all her hard work. The children learnt a great deal about what is involved for the chosen and fortunate ones who have the chance to go on this most important pilgrimage. The western staff also very much enjoyed learning about this event, which is so important in the lives of our Arabic colleagues, students and friends.

Lower Primary Field Day – Sunday 27th January 2008 |
On the Sunday 27th January, the children of Grades 1 to 3 participated in their Lower Primary Field Day. The children had been practising hard for this event in their PE lessons and they can feel proud of the effort they put in. We had some super speedy runners, great throwers and long jumpers! Some very brave students took a tumble in the races, but they all got back up and finished! A special well done to them! We would like to say a big thank you to the PE staff for their organisation, and to the teachers for their help. It is always nice to see parents watching at these events. You must feel very proud of your children, and I know your presence helps encourage them! |
