This years The Sultans School Lower Primary Field Day took place on Sunday 27th of January and was a great success. Almost every child in Lower Primary took part and enjoyed themselves as they participated in various running and field activities. The running activities consisted of sprints of 40 metres, 60 metres and 80 metres in front of a packed stadium with many of the childrens' parents coming out to support them.

The field activities including bean bag accuracy throws, bean bag pick-up, hurdles, long jump into sand and bean bag distance throw, were also very enjoyable with the children producing some fine work and always trying their best.

Overall, a very good day that was thoroughly enjoyed by both participants and spectators alike. Our thanks to the parents who came to support, and to The Sultan’s School Lower Primary staff who helped make the day so successful.

Middle and Upper Field Day – Wednesday 30th January 2008

Not even the recent cold spell could temper the enthusiasm and commitment of the Senior School students. Excellent performances and good levels of support from everyone ensured an enjoyable day was had by all.

The P.E. Department would like to take the opportunity to thank all staff who helped out, not only with this field day, but also the Lower and Upper Elementary as well.
Fantastic effort by everyone…. Well done.

UPPER PRIMARY FIELD DAY - 2008.

On Monday 29th January 2008, Upper Primary students took part in their annual Field Day.  Students from four different homerooms, in each year group (Grades 4-6) competed in various Athletic events.   In order for their homeroom to win Field Day, the students had to win the most points depending on where they came in the event (first position scoring the highest number of points). Sub-totals were collated from all the same coloured homerooms in Upper Primary, to give a grand total and, therefore, an over all winner.

The day was a great success with every student in Upper Elementary taking part in at least one event, whether it a running, jumping or throwing event.  Winning positions were shared reasonably equally between homerooms, making the challenge and competition tough but fair.

The support from Parents, Upper Primary Teachers, IGCSE PE students, along side members and guests of the PE Department was remarkable; the students thoroughly enjoyed a successful and hard working day.

The results are as follows (beneath are pictures of the Field Day, with more being displayed in the PE department):
