From the Head of Kindergarten
The KG teachers and students can hardly believe the end of term is so close. It has been a long and very busy term and the changes in the KG students have been incredible. Young children develop so quickly and in the last few months have learned the social and personal skills to make the transition from home to school. The children come to school ready to play and learn and eagerly anticipate all our activities.

KG 1 students have been busty learning through a variety of theme including Home and Family and Pets. The themes of the Farm and the Sea included days out of school to enhance their experiences and learning. Most recently the theme of the Jungle has provided great opportunities for art, craft and music.

KG 2 themes have included Oman and the Weather and the Farm. Whilst learning about Plants and Insects the students went on a nature walk around the school campus, looking at the plants and trees and collecting leaves which they later made into pressed clay models and painted. In the classroom we planted seeds and observed them germinate and grow. The children began to develop an awareness of the environment and caring for plants and living creatures and their habitats.

We are looking forward to an exciting end tot the term as the KG 1 'jungle animals' join the KG 2 'pirates ' on 'Treasure Island' for our Pirate Treasure Hunt.

We would like to wish you all Happy Holiday and look forward to a new and equally productive term.
