The Thursday Morning Club was started several years ago as a response to parents' wishes for extra Arabic classes. Over 50 students from grades 1 - 6 have enjoyed coming into school for the last six weeks. The reason they enjoy it is that there are small groups, lots of fun activities involving language, a very relaxed atmosphere and a sense of achievement!

The teachers enjoy the chance to get away from the normally very busy routine of more formal teaching and assessment and can pilot new methods of curriculum delivery. They also get to know the children very well and have time to sit and talk to them as individuals in an un-pressured period of time. The children also love coming to school in their own clothes as one said "It's like non-uniform day every Thursday!"
