Bean Team Beach Clean
Mission - clean a beach full of rubbish
Target Beach - Bandar Khiran
Workforce - 25 students, four teachers, all armed with gloves, dustbin bags and enthusiasm
Sponsor - BluZone “Splash for Trash”
So, with our objective in mind students from the Green Beans Environmental Club, ably assisted by participants from the International Award Scheme, went beach cleaning.
We had a great time and found loads of rubbish including cigarette butts, plastic bottles and bags as well as old clothes; we even found a burnt out sea turtle shell! For many of us taking part it was a big surprise that such unsightly things are left to spoil our beautiful coastline.

Everyone left the beach with a resolve to try and educate our fellow students and indeed our parents of the need to keep our environment clean and tidy.

We all had a great day at the beach, in the sunshine, with our friends and the clean up was such a huge success; we hope to organise another one soon. Many of us have volunteered to help Mrs. Alison with her Grade 1 beach clean at Seeb beach next month.

Everyone would like to thank Mr. Seamus, Mr. Ray, Miss Maxwell and Mrs. Alison for their help and support in organising the day. And of course a big thank you to all of the students who contributed to such a fun filled and worthwhile event.

Mission Accomplished!
