The
Schools Community Service Group has been actively involved
with a number of projects this year:
Collection for the Orphans: last semester, Elementary
students placed collection boxes in their homerooms to collect
money for the orphans at Al Khuwair. A total of RO 249.560
was raised. This will go into the orphans own bank accounts.
We wish to offer many thanks to the parents and students who
supported this worthy cause.
Orphans Visit to the School: a group of 12 boys from
the Orphanage visited the school early in the semester. They
played soccer with the boy boarders and afterwards they stayed
for prayers, supper and games in the boarding house. Many
thanks to all the boy boarders who hosted them.
Presentation to Al Wafa Centre: Besan Aburadwan 7G, Fatma
Al Najjar 7W & Fatma Al Ghussany 7R recently visited Al
Nadha Hospital. They met with two deaf students and one adult
from the Al Wafa Centre in Bid Bid, who were being fitted
for hearing aids. The students presented a cheque to pay for
these hearing aids: the money was raised by students at a
recent non-uniform day.
